Best players for both teams in the last month include Gary Warren, Reg Nelson, Darryl Hudson, Tyson Culbertson, Tim Amos, Kingsley Brown and Michael Morse. Well done lads. Where are they now? Great to hear recently from Maurie Vast who was a champion Centre half Back and Coach of the 1984 South Augusta A Grade Grand Final team who lost to Sollies in Port Pirie. Maurie played in the 1983 premiership side and lives in Adelaide and has his own business. His wife Kath has resigned from teaching and occasionally does some relief teaching , his eldest son, Michael is now 29 and living/working in China for Dept Foreign Affairs and his daughter Robyn is now 27 and has completed her Honours and Masters in Psychology and is now a registered psychologist. Maurie may have been seen in Pt Augusta for the racing week and stayed with Geoff and Di Fullerton who they remain close friends with.

Bulldogs at a higher level Jared Rivers just hasn’t had luck this year with injuries and was seen recently at the Port Augusta races, Darren Shillabeer stills played for Norwood U19s and recently represented the Upper North side, Jess Skipworth is still going well with North Adelaide’s U17s and its was great to see James Van Hoof second best player for North Adelaide seconds recently. Look out for him in the higher grades.
