Purpose

Purpose: To provide sub-journeyman work in the performance of a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in one or more craft areas. Responsible for maintenance and repair work of plumbing, painting, electrical carpentry, air conditioning and refrigeration. Also responsible for the training of Maintenance Workers I's. Essential Functions

Function 1: Conducts daily inspections of assigned areas and makes repair where necessary. Performs preventative maintenance such as greasing and oiling equipment. 30 % Time Function 2: Complete and prioritize daily routine work orders in general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, dry-wall repair and other relevant facilities management duties. Marginal/Incidental Functions: Use of a UT Arlington owned vehicle. Other functions as assigned. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent OR 3 years of related experience, AND 3 years of experience in performing a variety of sub-journeyman maintenance and repair tasks. Thorough knowledge of equipment used in all assigned trade areas.
