Milwaukee Section 1202 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes Monday, August 06, 2012 .

Present: Steve Coughlin, Terri Glaser, John Hankwitz, V. Jothi, John Montague, Dave Otis, Allen Rothman, Julie Shuster, Ray Tucker, Emil Salmons, Mary Therese Guzniczak, David Kijek, Wilson Wright, Chuck Wasserman.

Meeting was called to order by Allen Rothman: 5:40 p.m.

Motion to approve the June Minutes was made by John Montague and seconded by David Kijek. Unanimously approved by voice vote.

Chair Items:

Update on ASQ retirement dues program - $25 annual membership for < 30 years of membership including local sections membership is in consideration.

Quorum is established.

Organizational Chart updated for Allen Rothman including his new contact information.

John Montague suggested that we solicit members to see if they are interested in the Technical Seminars.

Kent Ehley will submit the same budge for this year, that was submitted for last year.

A. Rothman suggests a plant tour of Rock Tenn in Germantown.

A. Rothman will take responsibility for the menu and dinner meeting for September.

Two people have applied for the Hy Pitt Scholarship.

Terri Glaser – Nothing to report.

Tom Coughlin – Same budget as last year.

J Montague needs the speaker topic summary and bio for the September Newsletter. Adverting – nothing happened with BSI or A-1 Scale. Quality Calibration has paid.

Mary Guzniczak needed to know who we purchase awards from. How much should we budget? Need plaque with gavel for past chair, Erica Swain.

Dave Kijek needs travel pay in budget for October, 2013 joint meeting for speaker. John Montague announced that the 2013 appreciation dinner will be at the Gasthaus.

Nick Liefeld reports on the feedback fro the survey. He state that most people value ASQ membership for networking.

J. Hankwitz has nothing to report.

Ray Tucker – Website update. This December the typesetter for the Newsletter is retiring. He suggests WorldPress content management system. He will obtain quotes for converting to this system. Ray would oversea and manage it. 10 page website is $929. $80 domain fee. $5/month hosting fee, minimum 3 years. Total = $1629 to $1800.

W. Wright – Everything is good.

Business Plan Checkout goals on Sharepoint for 2011 – 2012.

Budget discussions.

Each area was discussed and modified, if necessary.

A. Rothman made a motion to approve the budget as written tonight. Seconded by John Montague. This was carried by voice vote.
