Converting a PowerPoint to Photo Story to a Podcast

PowerPoint:

1. Create (or open previously created) PowerPoint presentation 2. Go to File -> Save As a. Pull down bottom menu “Save type As” b. Choose “JPEG file interchange format” c. Save “Every Slide” in a location where you can find the folder (ie. Your network folder) 3. Close PowerPoint NOTE: Animations and audio will not be converted over.

PhotoStory:

1. Open Photostory -> Select “Begin a new story” -> click Next 2. Click “Import Pictures” 3. Navigate to where you saved your folder that contains your PowerPoint slides (.jpg) a. Open the Folder and select all slides/pictures (Ctrl-A) b. Click OK 4. Click Next (Add effects and Titles on this page), click on the individual picture you want to adjust 5. Click Next (Add audio and transitions on this page), click on the individual picture you want to adjust 6. Click Next (Add music on this page), click “create music” to add royalty free music Remember to adjust the volume so the music does not drown out your speaking 7. Click Save Project (to save the project file “.wp3”) 8. Click Next -> Browse (to choose the location where you want the video file “.wmv” to save to) 9. Click Next (Photostory will begin compiling the video…this may take several minutes)

Jodix:

1. Open Jodix (free ipod video converter) 2. Click “Add File” 3. Navigate to your Photostory video file (.wmv) and click Open. 4. Click Next -> Next -> OK (you may make changes at each stage or just take all of the defaults) 5. Click Convert (this will convert your file from .wmv to .mp4) 6. Once Jodix had completed the conversion (which may take several minutes), Close Jodix. The new file will automatically be saved in the same location as your .wmv file
