Duty Location: Brookings, SD

Unit Designation: HHC, 139th BSB

Military Grade: Not to Exceed SGT/E5

Duty Position: EW Sergeant 103/07

Duty MOS: 29E2O

General Eligibility Requirements: A physical demands rating of moderate (Gold). Must have a physical profile of 222221. Normal color vision. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a Service Remaining Requirement (SRR) of 3 years for reclassification into MOS. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and completed high school algebra course equivalent. Must have successfully completed Basic Leaders Course (BLC). Must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance and be eligible to receive a TOP SECRET (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access to be awarded MOS. No information in military personnel, Provost Marshal, intelligence or medical records that would prevent the granting of a security eligibility under AR 380-67 (para 3.401.a). A minimum score of 105 in aptitude area SC, ST and EL in Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Batter (ASVAB) test. A minimum OPAT score of Standing Long Jump (LJ) – 0120 cm, seated Power Throw (PT) – 0350 cm, Strength Deadlift (SD) – 0120 lbs., and Interval Aerobic Run (IR) – 0036 shuttles in Physical Demand Category in “Moderate” (Gold).

29E2O Duty Requirements: Responsible for all EW administrative, training and operational matters; planning and execution of operations involving Army EW air and ground platforms; coordination with higher for Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) support; preparation of staff estimates; responsible for the EW element of the MDMP and orders production process; resolves all interoperability issues; coordinates resolution of spectrum deconfliction with S6; preparation, establishment and maintenance of SOPs and TTPs; establishes, oversees and monitors all echelon’s EW training; may assist or supervise company Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device EW System (CREW) Specialists as necessary or required to ensure an effective CREW Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) Force Protection (FP) program. Performs duties shown in preceding skill level. Ensures support to the Battalion level EWO for training and tactical employment of Army EW air and ground systems; reviews, processes, and forwards AEA requests to higher; ensures timely conduit of information to and from higher headquarters; analyzes EW data collections and develops EW assessments; identifies risks, vulnerabilities, courses of action and potential countermeasures and prepares and presents related briefings and reports; oversees and executes Quality Control (QC), Staff Assistance Visit (SAV) and Battlefield Circulation (BC) programs to verify proper execution of the EW function throughout the command, including subordinate echelons.

Special Information: This announcement is open to all interested SGT/E5 Soldiers or SPC/E4 Soldiers who have been EPS selected and setting in a valid SGT/E5 position within the SDARNG. This announcement does not constitute a commitment to fill the position. Per NGB, a move to this position will not affect a Soldiers incentives contract as all MOSs are a feeder MOS into the 29E career field.

Deployed Soldiers may request thru their unit the ERB and copies of last three (3) NCOER's be sent to HHC, 139th BSB, Attn: SFC Paul Mausbach.

B. Interested members may apply by submitting, the following: (1) Copy of Enlisted Records Brief (ERB) current and updated; (2) Copy of last three (3) NCOER's; (3) Complete biographical information (attached); (4) Current MEDPROS IMR; (5) AITS APFT and height/weight printouts; and (6) DA Form 4187 signed by current Company Commander approving the transfer if selected
