Dear Students:

The Executive Committee and the Membership Committee of the American Society of Emergency Radiology are pleased to inform you that all medical students (in addition to residents and fellows) can join the American Society of Emergency Radiology for FREE! We are delighted to invite you to join our Society, and we do hope that you will find it as beneficial as we have.

The mission of the American Society of Emergency Radiology is to advance the quality of diagnosis and treatment of acutely ill or injured patients by means of medical imaging and to enhance teaching and research in Emergency Radiology.

As a membership benefit, you will receive access to the online version of the Society’s journal, Emergency Radiology. Should you wish to receive hard copies of the Journal, you will be eligible to subscribe at a discounted rate of $55.00 per year. Once you have joined the Society, you will want to be sure to take advantage of the FREE Table of Contents Alert for the Journal. Every time an issue is published online, you will be notified of its content via email. Simply fill in your email address in the box on the right hand side of the Emergency Radiology website.

As a member of the Society, you will also be able to attend the annual meeting at a discounted rate. The next ASER Annual Meeting is October 9-12, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, overlooking Boston, Massachusetts. The conference will feature the “Trauma Head to Toe” course. This course will be held the first two days of the conference and is well-suited for radiology residents preparing for emergency radiology coverage. Additional meeting information can be found at the ASER website – www.erad.org, along with a members’ only section providing you with access to the online membership directory of emergency radiologists across the world. The Society also offers an online teaching tool, its Core Curriculum in Emergency Radiology, which is also available from the ASER website.

Again, we would like to welcome you to join the American Society of Emergency Radiology. Start enjoying member benefits today; a membership application is attached for your convenience.

Sincerely,

Susan D. John, MD, FACR Sravanthi Reddy, MD ASER President Secretary and ASER Membership Committee Chair
