Employee Transition Support Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Employee Transition Support falls into three (3) main categories: job search assistance, education and training, and benefit enhancements and information. Information and resources for each category can be found on the Employee Support/Transition Website.

How Do I Access the Employee Support Website?

There are two easy ways to access the website from your home computer or smartphone:  Summit DD website – click Employee Support in the bottom right hand corner  Internet at http://www.summitdd.org/employee-login/

What types of information and resources are available on the Employee Support Website?

Job Search Assistance  Employment Opportunities – A listing of and links to OPERS employers’ career pages for Summit and nearby counties. There are also links to many DD providers’ career pages.  Outplacement Services – General information regarding outplacement services that are available to impacted employees. Please visit the Job Assistance section of the Employee Support Website to learn more about Career Curve’s valuable services offered to you at no cost.  Other Job Search Services – Links to Ohio Means Jobs as well as job boards including Monster.com, Careerboard.com and others.

Training and Education  Summit DD Training – Information on upcoming In-service days as well as on accessing the Relias Learning System which has hundreds of courses available to you at no cost.  Bargaining Unit Information – A WWSA Layoff and Bumping Fact Sheet  DD Training and Certification information – Information if you’re interested in researching and/or pursuing training, education or certifications specific to the DD field.  General Training and Education – If you’re considering career options outside the DD field, check here for information on certification or college degree options.
