1815 England. Shipwrecked off Ireland and landed at Watchet Harbour, Somerset - Esmeralda Grimm and her half-sister Fancy, set out on the final leg of their journey home to the House of Grimm. Stumbling upon a coven of witches in a ruined church, they flee for their lives and take refuge in a deserted tavern. Befriended by an amorous yokel, they awake to discover their horses stolen.

Left to cross the wild hills by foot, they are overtaken by a storm and are forced to take refuge in a ditch with a tinker whose tales about the Beast of the Moor make their night sleepless. Reaching Grimm Manor the following day, they are reacquainted with their estranged relatives – great aunt Augusta (Lady Grimm), second cousin Leopold, first cousin Wilberforce, and step- sister Evangelista. Suzie is a graduate of the Bridge Theatre Training Company. An accomplished actress, she has worked with a variety of theatre companies including The Cockpit, The Bridge and MOPA youth theatre. She has appeared in a number of notable films including ‘Sisters Grimm’, ‘Deep Lies’, ‘Seven Crosses’ and ‘Got to Run’. Suzie plays the part of Katrina in Nudes in Tartan.

Charlotte Radford – Esmeralda Grimm

Charlotte trained to be an actress at RADA (Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts) and LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts). She has had roles in a short film called ‘The Web’ directed by Richard Deaken and five feature films including ‘Sisters Grimm’.

Jon Paul Gates-Count Ludlow

An accomplished film and TV actor, Jon has appeared in several Hollywood films, including ‘Revamped’ starring opposite Fred Williamson (‘Starsky & Hutch’ and ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’) and Billy Drago (‘The Untouchables’). He was also in the LA thriller ‘Beyond The Ring’, playing opposite Gary Busey (‘Lethal Weapon’ and ‘Point Break’), and Martin Kove (‘Karate Kid 1-3’ and ‘Rambo 2’). He was also in ‘Dark Games’, the thriller shot in New Mexico, opposite Danny Trejo (‘Con Air’ and ‘Desperado’) and Brian Thompson (‘Terminator’ and ‘Cobra’), and ‘Dragon’, shot in Milwaukee, which sold worldwide and is regularly screened on the Zone Horror channel Sisters Grimm

Screenwriter and Director

Written and directed by Robbie Moffat, who has made eighteen films in the last ten years. Known for different types of genre for film both historical and modern, Robbie is not afraid to tackle any subject from the mundane to the octane.

Nudes in Tartan has been abated from a Robbie Moffat’s musical staged in Scotland in 1990. He has modernised his own script - updating it, giving it an edge for film. Nudes in Tartan is a funny ironic comic story about three women who learn the hard way that men can hold them back, not help them achieve success. The story has well-drawn characters who have a Bohemian lifestyle with no money but lots of pretensions.

Robbie’s film-making has stood him in good stead – this year, he is an Nominee as Johnny Walker Great Scot 2011 for outstanding contribution to Scottish culture.

His first movie was 35mm shoestring budget Love The One You're With which was nominated for best Scottish Film 2000. Thereafter his output has been prolific with no-budget adventure films like the Winter Warrior, Bone Hunter and Axe Raiders, and contemporary features Hawk and the Dove, Finding Fortune, Rain Dogs, Cycle.

After making ten Scottish features in six years, Moffat moved his company to Pinewood Studios just outside London where he has made Dark Side of Heaven, Inside Out, Seven Crosses and Sisters Grimm. Moffat has a thriving career as a producer, director and screenwriter, most recently with Got To Run, Beast In The Basement and Nudes In Tartan Production Photos About Palm Tree Entertainment
