TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN COUNTY OF GLOUCESTER

RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF 2011/12 GMC SIERRA 4WD 2500 HD PICKUP TRUCK FROM FLEMINGTON CHEVY BUICK GMC CADILLAC, LLC

WHEREAS, the Township of Franklin wishes to enter into a contract for the purchase of 2011/12 GMC SIERRA 4WD 2500 HD PICKUP TRUCK from an authorized vendor under the State of New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Program I-NJCP; and

WHEREAS, the purchase of goods and services by local contracting units is authorized by the Local Public Contracts Law NJSA 40A:11-12; and

WHEREAS, Flemington Chevy Buick GMC Cadillac, LLC, 211 Routes 202 & 31, Flemington, NJ 08822 has been awarded the New Jersey State Contract No. A78847 and

WHEREAS, the Qualified Purchasing Agent recommends the utilization of this contract on the grounds that it represents the best overall price, service and warranty; and

WHEREAS, the cost for the purchase of 2011/12 GMC Sierra 4WD 2500 HD Pickup Truck will not exceed $41,000.00; and

WHEREAS, funds are or will be available through the township budget under the Clean Communities Grant line item; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Finance Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for this purchase;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Franklin, in the County of Gloucester, that Flemington Chevy Buick GMC Cadillac, LLC, 211 Routes 202 & 31, Flemington, NJ 08822 in an amount not to exceed FORTY ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($41.000.00); and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the appropriate officers that being the Mayor and Clerk of the Township of Franklin are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Flemington Chevy Buick GMC Cadillac of Flemington New Jersey.

ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Township Committee of the Township of Franklin held on June 28, 2011.
