This week in Year 6 we have: proof-read and edited our Skellig inspired poems, calculated the area and perimeter of rectangles using the correct formulae, investigated the best location for a sunbed around a hotel swimming pool, applied our knowledge of formal and informal language.
Next week we will be: completing our write-up of our science investigation, completing internet safety activities, solving problems involving the conversion of units of time

Year 6 Residential Thank you to those of you who attended the meeting on Wednesday. We hope you found the meeting informative. Hopefully the bed making and bag packing practice won’t be too much of a tricky task for the half term holiday. Please can all completed consent and medical permission forms be returned to school by FRIDAY 24th FEBRUARY.
E-Safety Day We will be holding a school wide internet safety day on TUESDAY 7th February. Year 6 will be discussing how to stay safe on the internet and social networks. We will be watching and discussing some NSPCC videos from their Share Aware resources. Book Look A reminder that the Term 3 Book Look will be on WEDNESDAY 8th February from 2.30pm
INSET Day The school will be closed on FRIDAY 10th February for staff training.
