The Blacklick Valley School Board met in Regular Session at 6:30 p.m. for General Purposes in the Conference Room of the Blacklick Valley Jr. Sr. High School, 555 Birch Street, Nanty Glo, PA 15943 with Mr. Arthur Wurm, President, presiding and the following members present: Richard Bartoletti, Joseph Berdomas, Richard Fye, Robert Kish, Carrie Mourey, Dennis Palko, Angela Villa Members Absent: Kenneth Martinazzi Others present: Dr. John Mastillo, Superintendent, William F. Dunchuck, Business Manager/Board Secretary, Attorney Ron Repak, Nanty Glo Journal, Heather Rhine, Special Education Supervisor, Kayla Fockler, Ron Rhoades (6:35 p.m.)

Moved by Fye, seconded by Bartoletti to approve the minutes from the December 2, 2015 Regular School Board Meeting.

Motion to approve the payment of the January, 2016 Payroll in the amount of $290,687.30 and the transfer of $290,687.30 from the General Fund to the Payroll Account. Motion to approve the payment of the January, 2016 Cafeteria Payroll in the amount of $12,695.50 and the transfer of $12,695.50 the Cafeteria General Fund to the General Fund Payroll Account. Motion to approve the Cafeteria Fund Report for the month ending November 30, 2015 showing a balance of $53,088.91. Motion to approve the Cafeteria Fund Report for the month ending December 31, 2015 showing a balance of $80,571.21. Motion to approve payment of the Athletic Fund Report for the month ending November 30, 2015, showing a balance of $8,220.23. Motion to approve payment of the Athletic Fund Report for the month ending December 31, 2015, showing a balance of $4,893.97. Motion to approve the 4th Quarter High School Activities Fund Report ending, December 31, 2015.

Moved by Villa, seconded by Palko to approve an Equipment Maintenance Agreement with Cummins Bridgeway, LLC. in the amount of $4,881.83 for service of the Elementary and High School emergency generators for a term of five years.

Moved by Kish, seconded by Fye to hire Kayla Fockler as full-time special education teacher at the high school on step one with salary being retroactive back to November 15, 2015.

Moved by Kish, seconded by Mourey to accept the retirement of Mary Beth Parana with the last day of employment being the last day of student instruction.

Moved by Mourey, seconded by Bartoletti to accept the resignation of Monica Emerson as Girl’s Head Softball Coach effective immediately.

Moved by Mourey, seconded by Palko to hire Whitney Wurmas as Girl’s Head Softball Coach.

Moved by Bartoletti, seconded by Villa to hire Ernest Sekerak and Tayler Sheriff as Co- Assistant Senior High Baseball Coaches at a salary of ½ ($2,682.00) listed in the Teacher Agreement to be split 50/50 for a final salary of $1,341.00 each.
