TIGER INVITE TRACK AND FIELD MEET
Teams: Battle Ground, Hockinson, Ridgefield, Washougal, Stevenson, Union, Camas, Prairie, Mt. View, Skyview, Evergreen, Columbia River, Hudson’s Bay, King’s Way Christian, Setan Catholic, Fort Vancouver
Time: 9:45 Field Events, 10:00 Running Events
Place: District Stadium, Battle Ground
Date: Saturday March 20, 2010
Coaches Meeting: 8:45AM sharp under the stadium, must have a coach present
Spikes: No spikes longer than ¼ inch allowed
No Locker Rooms: bathrooms on site, no locker rooms
Starting Blocks: will be provided

Free admission for spectators-Concession stand will be open T-shirts and Sweatshirts will be on sale-please notify your athletes.
Entries: Each school is limited to 3 per individual events and 1 team per relay. Entries will be due by 9:00 AM on Friday, March 19. They will be done on Athletic.net. Make sure you register this meet on your schedule on Athletic.net. If you have any problems or questions, please contact me before then. PLEASE PUT DOWN YOUR BEST EDUCATED QUESS OF TIME OR DISTANCE THAT THEY WILL RUN THAT DAY. BE HONEST OR YOU WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. Do not put a no time down. Athletes and relays will be seeded by times and marks. All running events will be finals based on time, no prelims. Running Events: All athletes will check in with the clerk at the starting line on last call for instructions. The following running events will be run for both boys and girls: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 100/110 H, 300 H, 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay and the distance medley relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600). The girl’s 4x200 will not be run.
Field Events: All athletes will report directly to their field event area. All will be in flights-3 throws or jumps in prelims-top 8 will advance to finals-3 more throws or jumps in finals. Starting heights: girls’ high jump 4’2”, boys’ high 5’2”, girls’ pole vault 6’6”, boys’ pole vault 9’. Starting heights may be adjusted by meet management depending on entrees. The following field events will be held for both boys and girls: high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, javelin, and pole vault.
Javelin Runway-rubber surface-no longer than ¼ inch spikes allowed-They will be checked.
Awards and Final Results Ribbons to the top 8 in each individual event and the top 8 in the relays. A team plaque will be presented to the top boys’ and girls’ teams. Plaques will also be awarded to the outstanding boy and girl athletes. Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for individual events and relays. Full results and ribbons can be picked up after the completion of the meet. They will not be mailed but will be posted on Athletic.net soon after the completion of the meet.
There will be a coaches meeting at 8:45 AM under the stadium to go over the events and to make changes if necessary. You will be able to make scratches or replacements but no additions. Heats will not be reseeded; please try to make all entrees final by Friday 9:00 AM so we don’t have to make to many changes on Saturday.
Attached is an approximate time schedule for the meet. There will be an area to set up team tents.
New this year is an open 3000 for any athlete, male or female, parent, fan or coach who thinks they still can run. You do not pre register for this event, just show up at the starting line. It will be timed but not scored in the team standings. Unlimited entrees!
