Process Skill Reflection

Survey Data Project Guidelines

Process Skill Reflection As you do this project, notice the Process Skills you are using. You will write a comprehensive reflection which is due at the end of this project. A paper which receives a passing grade (70 or above) must address each of nine Process Skills at least once. To receive a grade above 70, each process skill must be addressed thoroughly.

Determine Questions You must decide what two questions you will use for your surveys. The data gathered from each of your two surveys must be displayed on two different types of graphs/plots, one type for each survey. The five types of graphs/plots you may choose from include a bar graph, line graph, histogram, pictograph, line plot. Since line plots, bar graphs, and pictographs all show the same type of data, you may only choose one of the three.

Written Proposal See attached document titled “Written Proposal”.

Data in Frequency Table Form This is self-explanatory. Your tables must include the category column, the tally column (if appropriate), and the frequency column. See your notes if you require further explanation.

Data in Graph Form This is self-explanatory. Your graphs must include an appropriate title, as well as appropriate labels for the axes. See your notes if you require further explanation.

Analysis of Data This will be in paragraph form. You must determine the mean, median, and mode of your data. If you do not remember how to do this, check your notes. You must also analyze the data in reference to other things going on, such as highs, lows, and other trends.

Presentation of Data This is the most time consuming portion of this project. The time allotted for this artifact should be reflected in its quality. You have choice in the way you present the information. You may use PowerPoint, video, poster, or a combination of any of these. If you decide you would like to present in a form other the choices provided, you may do so through a written proposal to your teacher. You must receive approval prior to working on this alternate form. See the attached “Presentation Rubric” for further guidance.

Final Reflection See attached document titled “Final Reflection”.
