In Our Homes As Queen of the Family

(John Paul II, Rio de Janeiro, 10/4/1997) Important: Consecration and crowning are closely related in our spiritual life. Because if we totally consecrate to Her, to her Heart, we have proclaimed Her as Queen of our homes and families. The proposed crowning must be the fruit of our personal and familiar Crowning of Holy Mary consecration, carried out so that the statue of Queen Mary helps us in our homes as Queen of the Family, to always remember and live said consecration. with our consecration

Recommendations: The statue to be crowned may be of any of the to Her Immaculate Heart. Church approved names. Of course, if you have the image of the Child Jesus, it must be also crowned, before the Virgin’s, as the Royalty of Mary comes from Jesus. For the crowning, someone in the family will prepare, preferably handicraft, a small crown according to its size. Or one can be bought or arranged in order to be placed over the Virgin’s head (or on top of the frame of a painting), doing the same for the Child, if He is in the statue/painting in a specially chosen day. It will be better in a Feast of the Virgin or of one of Her names.

Mission: Every home is summoned to this devotion and consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In a time of many attacks against the family, Mary comes to repair and heal, to unite and consecrate. Even a person living alone, a widow, or one priest in his parish, can and must crown the Virgin at home and consecrate to Her for God. The same applies to elders’ homes, hospitals, shelters for the needy, and so forth.

Important: The date chosen for the crowning and consecration will be remembered each year in a special meeting and by praying the Rosary, renewing the adhesion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“Mary, Queen of the family, Seat of wisdom, Slave of the Lord, “May Mary reign in your homes, ¡Pray for us! ¡Pray for us! not only because you have her statue, ¡Pray for the youngsters! ¡Pray for the families! Amen”. but because you frequently pray to her united, because you search for her advices, in our lives. Protect us, guide us, and comfort us. and do practice her virtues”. (Pius XII) We know that in You our soul will find rest

Crowning and Consecration Prayer and anguish will not enter in us. Our defeat will become a victory, Crowning begins by lightning a candle with natural flowers, with the Signal of the Cross, and praying the Creed to ask the Virgin to our fatigue is strength in You. preserve the Catholic faith in our homes and country. And we all can recite the prayer of St. Louis Mary of Montfort and of Pope John May God grant us the grace of living for You, Paul II. of loving your Immaculate Heart with all our being, I am all yours, my Queen and Mother and all which I have is yours. and that You, our Mother, be the one who cleanses and purifies our souls. One of the members of the family crowns the statue of Mary saying:

¡Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours, Beloved Mother, teach us to love Jesus. We crown you as Queen of our Family! Makes us worthy of Jesus and You, Mother, Then the consecration of the persons takes place and they all recite and that today’s consecration, may bring us closer to You and the Consecration Prayer of the family: to your Son. ¡Oh Mother! We want to consecrate ourselves to You.

And hence from now onwards we acknowledge you Holy Mary, Queen of our family, ¡Pray for us!

Virgin Mary, we consecrate our lives to You today. Finally the Holy Rosary is recited and three Hail Maries We experience a constant need of your presence added in satisfaction to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a daily custom which the family members accept. From now onwards they will be missionaries of Mary Immaculate Queen, trying to spread this devotion to other persons and families.
