1.0 Purpose and Scope This procedure defines the process for selecting and qualifying a Quality Management Representative as required in the BQ-9000 Quality Standard. The Quality Management Representative has the responsibility to manage the quality system.
1.1 Definitions QMR – Quality Management Representative
2.0 Procedure 2.1 The QMR will be an employee of Martin Eagle Oil Company, Inc.
2.2 The QMR will have thorough knowledge of the BQ-9000 Quality Standard.
2.3 The QMR will effectively chair Quality Management Review meetings.
2.4 The QMR will ensure that a Quality Program is established that meets all requirements of the BQ-9000 Standard.
2.5 The QMR will regularly and accurately report on performance data related to the Quality Program.
2.6 The QMR will ensure that only the current version(s) of the Martin Eagle Oil Company, Inc Quality Manual, Quality System Procedures (QSP), Work Instructions (WI), and Records (REC) are to be used by company employees and management staff.
2.7 The QMR will serve as the Lead Internal Auditor for the Martin Eagle Oil Company, Inc Quality Program or appoint a lead auditor.
3.0 Responsibilities 3.1 Management responsibility is defined by the Martin Eagle Oil Company, Inc Organization Chart (Appendix A).
3.2 The QMR will be appointed by the Vice President of Operations.
3.3 The QMR will be responsible for performing all QMR functions, as well as all regularly assigned job duties and responsibilities.
3.4 The QMR will perform all duties in a responsible and timely manner while fostering involvement of company employees and management staff.
