CWW ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

Purpose City West Water is committed to reducing barriers for people with disability to access our services, facilities and employment. We are committed to working together to eliminate discrimination against people with disability.

City West Water aims to meet its obligations under the Disability Act 2006 (Vic) and Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Commonwealth) by taking actions identified in its Accessibility Action Plan to eliminate barriers for people with a disability to access our services, facilities and employment.

Scope The processes and responsibilities outlined in this policy apply to all City West Water employees and contractors.

Roles and Responsibilities City West Water’s Responsibilities

City West Water will:

 develop, implement, review and report on its Accessibility Action Plan  communicate effectively and openly with stakeholders, including customers and employees  ensure the Accessibility Policy is readily accessible;  make reasonable adjustments to services and facilities consistent with CWW policy, legislation and good practice.

Manager’s Responsibilities All City West Water Managers are responsible for:

 supporting this Accessibility Policy and the implementation of the Accessibility Action Plan with stakeholders, including customers and employees.

Employees’ Responsibilities All City West Water employees are responsible for:

 understanding, respecting and applying this Accessibility Policy and the Accessibility Action Plan with stakeholders, including customers and employees;  reporting alleged or potential discriminatory practices or behaviour.
