SUPPLIES NEEDED and brought to class everyday!!:  **Graphing calculator** (TI-83/84 or Inspire) – you must have your own calculator every day  Pen or pencil  3-ring notebook or folder  2-pocket folder (to be handed in at the beginning of the year)  1 box of tissues

Classroom Rules: 1. Listen! No talking when I am talking.

2. Respect your classmates and teacher.

3. Attendance: YOU are responsible for your grade. If you miss a class, quiz, or test you must make it up in a timely fashion. Find a trustworthy friend who can copy notes for any missed class and be sure to pick up your homework. It is your responsibility to turn in missed work.

4. Homework: Homework will be assigned daily with few exceptions. It will be checked in some manner everyday, either by a visual inspection or handing it in. Late homework is accepted until the day of the unit test. (Each homework will be worth 1 point.) There will be weekly review sheets (spirals) that count as quiz grades - late papers will NOT be accepted!!!

5. Grading Policy: **Grades will consist of tests, quizzes, spirals, and homework. There may be short daily cumulative quizzes. Tests will also be cumulative. **There will also be a quarterly assessment at the end of each quarter counting as a test grade. Grade calculation: (Total points earned  Total possible points)  100 = Percent equivalent Grades can be found online on Parent Portal and are updated in a timely manner. Progress reports and report cards are all online!!

6. No cell phones or I-pods in class!!

7. At the end of this year, you will be taking the NYS Regents Exam in Algebra2/Trigonometry. It is based on all of the material we will cover this year.

8. I am available before school at 7am every morning. Please come and see me if you have any questions on any of the material we cover. I will also be available during the day during my lunch and planning periods. (I will not be available after school.)

Please remember that YOU are in control of YOUR grade. I do not GIVE grades, YOU earn them.

Grades can be found online on Parent Portal and are updated in a timely manner. Please keep in mind that grades are continuously updated and should be checked by students and parents. (Daily homework will not be on parent portal.) Progress reports and report cards are all online!! It is your responsibility to keep track of your grades and if you have a question about them, please ask!!
