Introduction

Throughout your Primary and Secondary education you will have used a selection of different programs other than PowerPoint, these include Word, Publisher and Excel.

Each of these programs are called Application Software and some other examples are listed below, some you will know others you will not have heard of:

Your have 2 tasks to complete.

Task 1 is to describe the four main types of application software. You need to create a presentation that will explain both how you might use the programs for specific tasks and also describe 5 different skills you can do in each program. These could be new skills to you, or ones you know how to use already.

Task 2 is to create a one page Poster advertising each application (4 in Total). You can use the list below as a starting point for some of the skills and also the Teach-ICT.com video tutorials web page to help you. This is not a complex list it is only a guide. Reminders.

The ICT department are looking to reward the expected good work produced in this ILC, but as a reminder failure to complete this or to an acceptable standard will result in 2 x 30 minute department detentions after school.
