7. SUPPORTING CARERS IN OUR COMMUNITIES (DECISION) To consider whether the Town Council wish to comment individually or collectively on the Joint Commissioning Strategy for Carers Services and Support in Dorset 2013-2106
8. TUNNEL REPAIRS (DECISION) To consider how best to commemorate the repair work currently being undertaken at the Tunnel
9. WILD CHERRY TREE (DECISON) The Town Council have the opportunity to purchase a Wild Cherry Tree which would be well suited for the Memorial Playing Field or the Cemetery. 10. DorBAG – BBC RADIO DORSET STUDIOS (DECISION) DorBAG have expressed concern at the decision taken by the BBC with regard to their premises in Dorchester and are seeking the Town Council’s support via written representation to the Chairman of the BBC Trust, Lord Patten and Director General, Tim Davie.
11. CORRESPONDENCE To NOTE correspondence received:
(a) DAPTC – Royal Garden Party – to NOTE the Council’s application had been unsuccessful. (b) Dorset County Council – Parliamentary constituency boundary review – to NOTE the review had been postponed until 2018 (c) Department for Communities & Local Government – Localisation of Council Tax Suppprt – To NOTE response received to the Council’s representation to Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP (copy attached) (d) Axe Valley and West Dorset Ring & Ride – To NOTE letter of thanks for the Council’s financial Contribution
12. PROGRESS REPORT (UPDATE) Monthly progress report is attached.
13. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS – to identify items for inclusion on the March agenda Town Council Website – deferred until March meeting
