Approval of March 2014 Bill Rhoads Tabled to next meeting. Minutes Treasurer’s Report Anita Mills Checking Account = $7114.91 Motion to approve by Anita Mills Money Market Account = $14,822.57 and seconded by Karen Savings = $25.00 LaMartina. Approved by vote. Total =$21,962.48

Anita reported that notices of dues of $50 have been sent out. Some not yet received.

Anita read a thank you card from Mary Benjamin for the gift card given as she stepped back into the faculty role. A gift card was also sent to Veda King on her retirement. Fall Forum Committee Debbie Hackler Debbie reported that the forum brochure was sent. Deb will send out the brochure a Report Everything seems on board. second time. ADN Alignment: Revisit Bill Rhoads The Program Outcomes were approved as were all of the support courses. The piece that is still undecided is the accreditation issue initiated by the president of Seward County Community College. This issue is out of our hands and will be addressed by the presidents and KBOR. KSBN must be notified by letter that you are adopting the alignment outcomes. ACEN will also need to be notified. OADNE Bill Rhoads Anita Mills reported that there is no update, nothing has been done.

KS Action Coalition Bill Rhoads Beverly Roush, Linda Adams Wendling and Bill Debbie Hackler, Anita Mills, Patsy Rhoads are heading up the Education Committee. Zellar and Anita Krondak will The leadership team would like to reestablish CNAK represent KCADNE in this effort. to review the KS Articulation Agreement to avoid duplication of effort. There was lower attendance at the summer summit this year. There is a cohort of students at KU in the professionalism class that they are assigning out to KSAC to help with projects. There will be more about the residency program in the future. This should start in 2016. NCSBN NCLEX RN Bill Rhoads The executive committee initially agreed to Anita Mills motioned to approve Conference contribute $300 per group but the last conference up to $400.00 contribution. Dee call indicated there might be slightly more cost. Bohnenblust seconded the motion. Vote approved the motion. Other Business Deb Hackler Deb shared a KNF pamphlet regarding available scholarships for students. She encouraged everyone to feel free to take some of the pamphlets to students. Bill Rhoads Mercy Hospital in Independence, KS is closing. The status of Mercy in Fort Scott is not clear. Bill voiced concerns regarding continued clinical opportunities due to financial concerns in these facilities. Patsy voiced concern regarding consolidating some of the smaller clinical sites in her area.

Bill Rhoads Barton and Fort Scott have LMHT programs that have been approved by KSBN, KBOR and HLC. These programs are currently waiting on Department of Education approval.
