Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners

February 16, 2011

To whom it may concern,

My name is Jennifer Cassano and I am the current vice-president of the Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (Feline Club). On March 5, 2011 the Feline Club will host our annual community-wide event Feline Follies, which we host for the benefit of homeless animals. I am writing to see if you would be interested in donating any merchandise or gift certificates to the event. I promise you that the animals will be thankful for any gift, large or small!

Feline Follies is the Feline Club's largest event of the year, with over several hundred attendees from Tompkins County. This event is our opportunity to invite the public and their feline friends to the vet school for both entertainment and educational purposes. We host an annual cat show, give informative lectures about cat health care, and offer raffles for various prizes, as well as display animals from the local shelters for adoption. All proceeds from the event will be donated to CNY SNAP, a high quality low cost spay and neuter program and the SPCA of Tompkins County. The Feline Club is entirely responsible for the cost of organizing this event which in past years has exceeded two thousand dollars. Any donation you were willing to give would be greatly appreciated!

As a donor, we will acknowledge your generosity by prominently displaying the name of your business and your gift for all to see. Since Feline Follies has been a vet school tradition which is going into its 20th year, we have a strong set of devoted attendees numbering into the hundreds; and I guarantee that your gift will be recognized and valued by all.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. As one of our sponsors, I will personally let you know how we do. If you would like any more information on Feline Follies, please email me at [email protected]. Thank you for your consideration!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Cassano Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2013 Vice President, SCAAFP
