Here is a way to count money by 5s. Use these steps to practice skip counting sets of money.

Step 1: For each 5¢ value contained in the coin, draw lines, called “legs,” on the bottom of the picture of the coin. Quarter Dime Nickel Penny

Step 2: As you count the value of a set of coins by skip counting, mark off the legs and label the last value counted.

Step 3: Practice: Using the steps described above, skip count to find the value of the set of coins below, and label the last value counted.
