Drawings – and Important Information

Date - Saturday November 6 & Sunday November 7 Location - Burlington Seniors Center Address - 2285 New Street, Burlington, Ontario.

Directions - From QEW: Exit on Guelph Line and travel South about 2.5 km Turn right onto New Street (Petro Canada gas station on corner) Drive approximately ½ km. Look for the Central Public Library. Turn right at the lights onto Teen Tour Way (a small road running between the Library and the Burlington Curling Club). The Center is just past the Curling Club, on your left.

Hotel Information - Quality Hotel – 950 Walkers Line – 905-639-9290 Ask for the CASK room rate.

Spectators - $20 per day. CASH ONLY $10 Children under 13, and Seniors over 65

Weigh in - Saturday 10 am (for bouts on Saturday) Sunday 7 am (for bouts on Sunday)

Important Arrive on time for weigh in. Chief Officials call the athletes in by name; if the athlete is not present when called, the athlete’s bout is cancelled.

Passport is required at weigh in.

One coach from athlete’s club must attend weigh in with athlete. Coach must have CASK coaching card or letter indicating one-time grace.

Bouts - Saturday Bracket A – 2 pm Saturday Bracket B – 7 pm

Sunday Bracket C – 10 am Sunday Bracket D – 12:30 pm

 All athletes are required to weigh-in each day they are listed to compete.  Athletes are required to attend the weigh-in with their valid CASK passport  One coach per club is required to attend weigh-ins  Athletes are required to be in their weight division listed as this drawing sheets  Only 3 coaching passes will be provided to each club (Registered CASK Coaches only!)  Coaches must be in possession of their CASK Coaching cards during bouts  Athletes will be required to always be in their warm up room from the time indicated below.  Only athletes and coaches will be allowed in the warm up room – no exceptions.  Athletes must have correct equipment before entering the ring - only gloves are provided

Be sure to adhere to the following requirements, which will be strictly enforced.

All athletes must enter the ring with the correct equipment and outfitting We will not give you time to replace incorrect equipment or outfitting. If you are unsure about your equipment have it checked well before the bout. Ensure that it fits properly!

Footpads must cover heel, toes, sides and top of foot Shin pads must reach 3 inches below the knee Head gear must have no cheek protectors and be the color of the athletes corner or black or white. No arm bracelets Headgear must be put on before the athlete enters the ring Shorts for K1 and Low Kick must be 3 inches above the knees, no front or side pockets, with no outside laces or buckles. Pants for Full Contact must be loose fitting and reach to the feet pads with no front pockets and no outside laces of buckles.

Bout Order The bout order for each bracket will be listed in each warm up room. Athletes may get their gloves from the gloving table 3 bouts before their bout. Athletes and coaches must be prepared to enter the ring immediately after the decision is called for the previous bout. It is the responsibility of the athletes and coaches to be on time for their bouts. Once the referee calls the athletes into the ring – the athlete must enter with their equipment on.

Coaching Requirements All coaches must be in possession of their 2010 or 2011 coaching cards during weigh ins and during each bout. The Chief Official checks for cards throughout the tournament so ensure each coach that will be cornering has their cards at all times.

Dressing Rooms Only athletes competing during that bracket and card-carrying coaches are permitted in the red and blue dressing rooms. No other individuals are allowed the warm up rooms; no family, no friends, no non- CASK coaches. CASK staff will check the dressing rooms to ensure this policy is enforced. Passports and Coaching Cards If your club has applied for passports or coaching cards for the Provincials, you will receive it by the end of the day Wednesday, November 3. If you do not receive your item(s) by end-of-day Wednesday, November 3rd - the club must email the CASK office Wednesday night with URGENT in the subject line. In the email explain which item has not arrived and provide a contact phone number.

For us to help you, we must know about any problems on Wednesday before 5 pm. *No passports are given out at events; to compete, you must have your passport IN ADVANCE of the event*. Each athlete must present a current passport at weigh in. No exceptions.

Center Facility CASK has rented on the competition hall and the two warm up rooms. Athletes, coaches and spectator are not permitted to be in any location in the facility. Ensure that members of your club are only in these locations and not roaming the facility. Please respect the facility and other renters - especially senior groups that rely on this center for their programs.

Spectators Spectator cost is $20 per day; $40 for both days. Cash only, payable at the door. CASK relies on spectator fees to cover the large costs associated with a tournament-style event. CASK tournaments are organized and run by volunteers who work together to help athletes have opportunity for competitive experience. All spectators, athletes and coaches are required to follow directions and respect the work done by these volunteers.

Video Taping No video taping is permitted – DVDs can be purchased from the sponsoring vendor who will be on site taping all bouts and producing DVDs. To order a DVD of the event, you must do so with See and Hear at the event only. Please do not contact the CASK office after the event to order DVDs.
