Dear Parents,
The excitement is palpable amongst the students and we are eagerly waiting for the Khoj to start for our children. Our 1st expedition will commence shortly.
Please find in this communication - . A list of things that the students need to carry with them for the Outbound Learning Expedition . A list of things that the students will not be allowed to carry . Details of departure and arrival . Communication Protocol during the Khoj . Details of medical personnel and facilities available during the program.
Please make a note of the details which are applicable for your ward. We would like to re-iterate that the program is integral to learning in the school and we look forward to complete participation, commitment and support from you.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING FOR THE KHOJ
ESSENTIAL ITEMS CLOTHING PERSONAL BAGGAGE
Flash Light – 1 with T-shirts - 2 Students are allowed to extra set of batteries Pairs of track pants – 2 carry only rucksack or Water Bottle - 1 Swimming soft duffle bags, restrict Sun Screen Lotion Costume/Quick dry t- weight to maximum 10 Lip Salve shirt and shorts -1 kgs. Insect Repellent Warm fleece Jacket - 1 Small Back pack / day Sun Hats/Caps Nightwear – 1 Set pack for hikes Personal Toiletries Socks – 2 pairs Sleeping Bag Strapped sandals - 1 Under Garments – Please travel light and Sports shoes 3pairs take only things that are School Photo ID Light Towel – 1 essential.
(Please do not carry jeans) THINGS NOT TO CARRY
No food items (this includes packaged food, home cooked food) Electronic items such as Mobile Phones IPods Cameras PSPs Video Games Playing Cards, UNO cards Money – Students will not have any opportunity to spend money during the Khoj. Hard shell suitcase/luggage bags with rollers are strictly prohibited.
COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL DURING KHOJ
You will receive a communication about your ward by 12 noon everyday via email. Please check your mail everyday after 12 noon. Personnel handling communication at the school will be in regular touch with the teachers at the camps. You can call the school reception between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. during the days of the program if you have any important communication to be passed on to your ward. The school will in turn communicate the same to the camp. We request you not to call the class teachers during the program as they will be busy and involved in facilitating Khoj.

The timings of drop and pick up for your ward. All parents have to drop and pick up their wards from The Heritage School only. Please ensure that your ward reaches the Reception area of the school at the school assembling time (refer to Departure Table above).
As you already know, the school has a tie up with ‘Orange Cross’ for its total health care needs. Trained Medical Professionals - Senior Nurses / Doctors will be accompanying each Khoj group. They will also be carrying all the medical records of our children. Orange Cross will be carrying medicines, nebulizers, disposable oxygen cylinders, etc. and will be fully equipped to handle any contingencies.
