LCMS December 2014 Good News Report

LCMS congratulates our December Students of the Month and their families - 7th graders: Maddie Mathis and John Rose 8th graders: Alissa Spencer and Quinton Gibson

LCMS student art work is on display at Etcetera Coffee House on 6th Street in Paducah throughout the month of December.

LCMS had 100% participation in the Conservation Essay Contest. 7th grade essay winners were: Adriana Haley, Olivia Thomason, and Austin Williams 8th grade AND overall school essay winners were: Cameron Head, Samantha Rice, & Josey Tolley Josey Tolley also won 2nd place in the entire county’s essay contest.

Kaigan Goodaker was runner up in the District Spelling Bee. Ryan Turner received third place.

LCMS is very proud of our Quad State Junior High Students who performed at Murray. LCMS choir, band, and drama invite everyone to their Christmas performance on Tuesday, Dec. 16 (1:15 PM and 5:30 PM). LCMS students are setting and monitoring their goals. Those who achieve their goals are claiming very unique rewards. Please check out their rewards on our Facebook page. Our JV Academic Team defeated Crittenden on Dec. 2. The 7th grade district basketball tournament is Dec. 11-13 in Lyon County. We host the 8th grade district MS Basketball Tournament, Dec. 18-20. 8th grade night is Tuesday, Dec. 9. LCMS will become a “Leader In Me” School thanks to a grant received by WKEC. LCMS teachers have conducted several student-led parent teacher conferences. 42% of our parents attended conference night, Oct. 27. In addition, 89% of LCMS parents have had a face-to-face conference since the school year began.

LCMS has 280 documented volunteer hours as of December 4, 2014. Our goal is 1,200 hours.

LCMS attendance year-to-date is 95.59%. Our goal is 98% for the year.

LCMS has 171 followers on Twitter (LCMS_LiveRed) and has made 1,035 tweets.

LCMS has 277 Likes of our Facebook page (Livingston County Middle School) which includes multiple posts, photos, and videos.
