Procedures to Succeed in Mr. Ashe’s Class
Entering the room: 1. Enter Quietly 2. Get your pre-bell book 3. Proceed to your seat
Getting to work: 1. Open the textbook under your desk to the chapter and section we will be working on. 2. Take out your 3-ring binder 3. You should have a blue or black pen 4. If you do not have a pen, ask your neighbor to borrow one 5. Start your pre-bell work
Coming to attention: 1. When I raise my hand you are to stop talking and look at me
When you are absent: 1. Check the assignment box for your makeup work 2. Turn in homework 3. See me to schedule a day to make up your test
Keeping your notebook: 1. Study guide 2. Map 3. Notes 4. Test
Homework: 1. Is due as assigned 2. Must be in the box at the start of class
Pre-bell work: 1. Located on the front board 2. If you are absent, check Mr. Ashe’s pre-bell book 3. Your assignment must be written in your pre-bell notebook 4. You must write the question and the answer
Label Papers: 1. Your name, date, and class period should be in the top right hand corner
Passing in your papers: 1. Pass work to the student on your left 2. The student at the end of the row will hold onto the papers until they are collected.
Workbooks: 1. Two students will be assigned to pass out the workbooks 2. Name and class period should be in the front cover of your workbook 3. Two students will collect the workbooks When you finish early: 1. Work on your study guide 2. Read your textbook 3. Read your assigned book Talking is not an option!
Asking questions: 1. Raise your hand 2. Wait until Mr. Ashe calls on you 3. Listen to other questions so that time is not wasted
Announcements on the intercom: 1. Stop all talking 2. Listen to the announcements 3. Save question until the end of the announcements
Visitors to the Classroom: 1. You are to continue your assignments 2. There is to be no talking
Hall Procedures: 1. No talking 2. Stay in single file on the right hand side of the hallway 3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself
Leaving the room: 1. Once the bell rings and I shut the door you will not be allowed to leave unless you have an emergency (this means that a danger to your health exists)
Tests and quizzes: 1. Complete tests and quizzes without talking 2. If you have a question, raise your hand and I will come to your desk 3. When you complete the test or quiz , turn it over and I will collect it 4. When you complete the test or quiz you are to silently follow the procedures for finishing work early.
