BCTRC CAMP EQUIPMENT LIST 2017

The Riding Club does not take responsibility for the loss of items, accidents or disease to the children or ponies during Camp, although naturally every possible precaution will be taken to avoid it.

The following MUST be brought by each junior member attending Camp – CLEARLY NAMED: Pony Horse passport Saddle, numnah / saddlecloth, bridle, neck strap (strongly recommended) Spare numnah / saddlecloth for the parade on the final day Appropriate bit(s) for dressage, showjumping and x country Head collar and lead rope Stable rug, sweat rug / cooler if required Hay net Grooming kit, including and hoof pick, tail bandage and plaiting equipment Shampoo, large sponge and scraper if required Fly repellent Large water bucket, must hold a minimum of 2 gallons (or 2 separate 1 gallon buckets) Smaller bucket for topping up and cleaning tack Tack cleaning kit (including polish for boots) Mucking out equipment (none provided)

Horse and ponies can be fed hard feed in the morning and / evening as required.

Camping Equipment Tent Blow up bed / camp bed and pillow Sleeping bag Deck chair / foldable chair Clothing for duration and footwear including wellies (additional list for riding equipment) Toiletries, wash bowl and tooth mug and towel. Night Clothes Hair Brush Sun Cream and Anti midge spray / insect repellent Baby Wipes Camera / Phone Waterproofs Those sleeping in the cottage will not need a tent, bed and pillow, but a sleeping bag is still necessary.

Daily Riding Hair net / Scrunchies (all long hair must be tied back when riding) Jodhpurs (can be coloured for days 1, 2 and 3) Riding club sweatshirts / polo shirts / hoody / (if possible) – available from GGgear Long sleeved top for x country Waterproof jacket (plus spare if possible) Boots / chaps (no riding in wellies or trainers) Whip and Gloves Note pad and pen / pencil for stable management lessons

We also ask for the following donations:

6 yummy sweet buns per rider £3 per rider for the instructor’s gift 2 toilet rolls These will be collected on arrival.
