Mr. Donald H. Perry is the Associate Director of the Public Safety Academy of Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne. The facility is a training and meeting center for 5,000 first responders from 12 counties of northeast Indiana. It is also the primary training center of the Fort Wayne Police and Fire Departments as well as the city/county Homeland Security director, his staff, and an Emergency Operations Center. Mr. Perry’s primary duty is researching, arranging, and scheduling affordable training that can be offered for the benefit of all jurisdictions.

The Public Safety Academy of Northeast Indiana’s resident agencies include a vocational high school with criminal justice and fire science programs; a community college with CJ, FS, paramedic and paralegal programs; and three universities who among them offer CJ degree programs at the B.S. and M.S. levels, and Homeland Security programs at the B.S. level. Mr. Perry coordinates the development of a joint degree program offered by the college and universities.

Mr. Perry is a retired Army officer with a 20-year career in the development and administration of adult higher education and workforce training/re-training programs.
