Chapter 17, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended 28 by adding: 29 30 “Section 5917175. (A) Beginning with the 20172018 Fiscal 31 Year, all school districts and special schools of this State may 32 transfer and expend funds among appropriated state general fund 33 revenues, Education Improvement Act funds, Education Lottery 34 Act funds, and funds received from the Children’s Education 35 Endowment Fund for school facilities and fixed equipment 36 assistance in order to provide for school protection and safety, 37 including resource officers. However, a school district may not 38 transfer funds allocated specifically for state level maintenance of 39 effort requirements under IDEA, and funds allocated specifically 40 for state level maintenance of effort requirements for federal 41 programs.” 42
