EDITH M. 12 BURRELLPAGE UPON THE OCCASION OF HER 13 RETIREMENT FROM AT&T AFTER NEARLY FORTY 14 YEARS OF EXEMPLARY SERVICE, AND TO WISH HER 15 WELL AS SHE ENTERS A MUCH DESERVED 16 RETIREMENT. 17 18 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate have learned 19 that on March 19, 2016, Mrs. Edith M. BurrellPage will begin a 20 welldeserved retirement after nearly forty years of exemplary 21 service to multinational telecommunications provider AT&T; and 22 23 Whereas, wife of the late Alton Page and dedicated mother of 24 Tyrish Page, Edith BurrellPage joined AT&T on December 27, 25 1976, as an operator. Over the years she advanced in the company, 26 initially by becoming a billing and verification assistant, and later 27 as a network maintenance administrator. In 2003, Edith transferred 28 to Charlotte to serve as a certified testing technician; and 29 30 Whereas, a native of Richland County, Edith graduated from Eau 31 Claire High School and has always been very dedicated to serving 32 her church and community. She serves as a member of the 33 Bethlehem Baptist Church Sick and ShutIn Ministry, which 34 provides clothes and food to the homeless population every month 35 in the Columbia metropolitan area; and 36 37 Whereas, after nearly four decades of service to AT&T, Edith now 38 looks forward to spending more time with family and friends, 39 engaging in her church and community service activities, caring 40 for others, working in her yard growing beautiful flowers, 41 collecting baseball cards, and traveling abroad; and 42

BurrellPage 3 has devoted to her work at AT&T while balancing the demands of 4 a career with caring for a loving family and serving her church and 5 community, and wish her many years of enjoyment in her 6 wellearned retirement.
