Dear Comrades, Our GM, NBG(S) Sri.Charan Singh To Head HRD, HO It is the apt choice of our Top Management to have chosen a humane-natured person to head Bank’s Human Resources Department at Head Office, who is none other than our beloved General Manager NBG(SOUTH), Sri. Charan Singh.”THE RIGHT PERSON AT THE RIGHT PLACE” We are confident and sure that he will do the best for the Human Resources of the Bank. We wish him all successes in his new assignment.

Our NBZM, Chennai Zone, elevated as General Manager, To Head NBG(S). We convey our heartiest congratulations to our beloved National Banking Zonal Manager, Sri. Kul Bhushan Jain, who has been elevated as General Manager of our Bank and assigned the responsibility of heading our NBG(SOUTH). He is a person of perfection. During his tenure as the National Banking Zonal Manager of Chennai Zone, he has conducted the affairs of the Zone in his self-made style and improved the performance level of the Zone with NIL high audit risk rated branches; upgradation of audit rating of 26 branches; overall improvement in housekeeping of the Chennai Zone Branches; reduction in revenue leakage at branches; reduction of NPA position of the Zone; checking the slippages and has , in toto ,lifted the business mix of the Zone to cross the magical Rs.10000 crores and ending the year with a grand finale of Rs.11101 Crores. We salute him for his commendable performance and we are sure that,he will continue from where he left in his elevated role as the HEAD of NBG – SOUTH drive the NATIONAL BANKING GROUP- SOUTH to newer horizons in the national arena..

Your General Secretary has been elevated as Deputy General Secretary of AIBOC.

At the Executive Committee Meeting of AIBOC, held at Chennai on 9th April 2014, your General Secretary has been elevated as the Deputy General Secretary of All India Bank Officers’Confederation., the Apex Body representing 2.50 lacs officers of the banking industry in the country. With unstinted support , faith & trust of the comrades he represents , your General Secretary assures you that the members’ cause will be effectively taken up by him at the right forums,at the highest levels to the benefits of the officers ‘ community . Com.T.S.K Chari, a fearless leader, who led the officers’ trade union movement with great courage and conviction, breathed his last on 29th March 1988 when he was serving as General Secretary of our Unit and Joint General Secretary of our Federation. In his memory, our unit has been undertaking various social welfare activities on 29th March every year under the aegis of “Com. T.S.K. Chari Memorial Fund”. Many of our comrades have been regularly contributing to this fund. On 29th March 2014 Com.T.S.K.Chari was remembered.

In a befitting manner, our comrades of Chidambaram cluster provided lunch to handicapped children of Saint Raghavendra School.

Our Vellore cluster comrades with the lead role of Com.P.S.S.Iyengar hosted dinner to 50 differently abled children of Missionaries of Charity, Shishu Bhavan,Vellore and provided them towels. At the Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity, Vellore they provided towels to 85 destitutes.

Our Pondicherry cluster comrades handed over a Water Purifier and distributed sweets at the Home for differently abled Children run by Puducherry Directorate of Social Welfare.

At Chennai, lunch for the inmates of Adaikathal Illam was hosted by our unit. Our comrades from Chennai also joined them for the lunch.

Our comrades of Madurai cluster made generous contributions and an aid of Rs.7300/- was handed over to Missionaries of Charity, Madurai.

Supper was arranged for 100 inmates at St.Annes School for Destitute Children, Tiruchiraplly.

Com.R.Gopalakrishnan, E.C.Member of Salem cluster donated a sum of Rs.2000/- to Salem Corporation Blind School and Com.Poobagan, E.C.Member donated Rs.1500/- at Sacred Boys Disabled Home, Anavarathanallur, Tirunelveli.

An amount of Rs.12000/- was donated to a Welfare Organisation with useful contributions from our Coimbatore cluster Comrades including the National Banking Zonal Manager & Deputy Zonal Manager, Coimbatore Zone.

Comrades, we appeal to one and all to contribute generously to the fund to expand our activities in the coming year and year after year there of .
