Collegiate 4-H Meeting Minutes March 26, 2015 WSLR 116, 6 p.m. Sign in Call to Order & Welcome: Julie Knapke

Pledges:  American: Emma Hopkins  4-H: Abbey Honnicutt

ACT speakers: Farmer’s Breakfast: Wed April 15th 9-11 am (plus cleanup time)  Set up starts at 7:30 am  Will take place in front of CL50  Shifts o 7:30-8:45 am o 8:45-10:15 am o 10:15-11:00 am (plus clean up)  We will be serving orange juice, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and bacon  Help is appreciated even if you can’t stay the whole shift o Just put a note for when you’ll be available when you sign up (plus phone #)  The club won’t need a lot of volunteers for the set up shift  If you bring any supplies be sure to tape your name on it so it doesn’t get mixed up o Items needed: . Can opener, big spoon, spatula, tongs, extension cord, coolers, griddles, skillets  Mandatory volunteer meeting date will be announced soon  Spread the word! Advertise!  Doodle-poll will be made and sent out soon

Old Business: Officer Training Reports-Cassie Lehmann [email protected]  Tuesday, March 24th - Miami County o Collegiate 4-H gave the 4-Hers quilts that were made at the state fair for them to donate in their community.

Murdock After School program - Maddi McFadden ([email protected]) and Jessie Earhart ([email protected])

www.four-h.purdue.edu/collegiate4h  A group leaves for Murdock on Tuesdays at 2:30 pm  Transportation is provided  Email Jessie or Maddie if you are interested in helping next week  Next week: Farmer Olympics  need lots of help and any ideas are welcome o If you have any ideas for activities to be done in the “Olympics” email them to Maddi or Jessie

New Business: Orange Leaf Fundraiser, Thursday April 9th - Alyssa Hudson, [email protected]  Tell all your friends and promote it!  Assuming that Orange leaf is open by this date (since they are currently closed due to damage from a crash), it is set up and ready to go!  A flyer will be made and sent out, be sure to spread the word!

2015-2016 Officer Team  Elections at April 9th meeting  Intent to Run forms are available

BoilerBlast: Saturday, April 11th  Meet on Memorial Mall: Winter clean up (raking, clean up, etc.) o Free lunch and free t-shirt  If you are interested, you can sign up via boilerlink  The club doesn’t have to send a group, but you can still sign up individually and say that you are representing Collegiate 4-H

Hammer down Hunger: Tuesday, April 14th 5-6pm  Involves packaging food  Sign Up: http://bit.ly/1EH3QmJ Deadline to sign up is Friday, April 3rd  The sooner the better: slots are filling up fast  See Julie after meeting

College of Ag Food drive: Friday April 3rd – Friday April 17th  Donations can be dropped off at AGAD during this time  The club will be donating as well: o Whatever you donate at the April 9th meeting, the club will match! o If we win we will get a golden trophy, so bring canned goods!!

Spring Fest, Saturday, April 18th-Sunday, April 19th – Holly Kyler, [email protected]  Located in a tent in front of Ag Administration  10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day; Sign-ups will be available at this and the next meeting  Hosting table for participants to make Goop  Goldfish Races: Table is coming along nicely  Plus, if you work 2 shifts the banquet is paid for  o The banquet is $10 otherwise  Link to sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B48ADA929A7FE3-spring/26518576

Achievement Trip, Sunday April 26th Cassie Lehmann [email protected]: This trip will be a fun end-of-the year reward trip for members who meet certain criteria.  We will be attending Skyzone

o Bring money for food

o We will be leaving at 3:00pm from behind AGAD

o May possibly find a free activity to participate in as well

 Qualifying: To qualify a member must volunteer for either

o Two officer trainings

o Two Murdock after school sessions

o One officer training and one Murdock session
