Call to Order at 12:05 PM Recorder: Becky Litwaitis Topic Discussion Action Item Person Responsible Approval of Meeting Barb moved to approve the 12/23/13 meeting minutes and Amber Minutes seconded. Motion approved. Treasurer’s Report Mary Beth reported: Business Prime Money Market: $31,131.73 Essential Business Checking: $4,919.23 In addition, there is likely money in the PayPal account from membership fees. Committee Reports Membership Mary Beth reported: Will email the WWA Mary Beth  28 projects have paid. Regional Reps the  The Northern Region, at this time, is leading the regions, with Membership list. 86% of their Projects joined. The region with the lowest participation is the Southern Region. WWA Regional Reps will Regional Reps. encourage WWA Membership at their Regional Meeting. Finance No Report Will look into the Barb responsibilities of this committee. WAHLDAB Cheryl D reported:  The WPHA Conference will be held in Milwaukee May 13-15.  Consulting and lobbying contract for WPHA and WALHDAB is

WIC Advisory Barb reported: Face-to-Face meeting was held in Madison in November.  Discussed conference, expenditure policies and maximum indirect costs.  Defining language on who is eligible to be a breastfeeding peer counselor.  Considering WIC approval for several formulas: Good Start Preemie formula, Similac Sensitive for infants with a NAS diagnosis and Similac 60/40  Teleconference will be held bi-monthly  Updates on EBT added to WICShare

Professional No Report Development Advocacy No Report NWA advocacy Cheryl D information will be provided to Amber to be put on the website. Amber reported: Email Amber with items to All Website  It can be difficult to remain consistent when having more than be put on website. one person posting on the WWA website. For this reason, Amber will continue to post new items on the website. Thanks Amber!  Anyone can post without administrative rights to Facebook page.

Old Business NWA Magazines Mary Beth reported:  10,995 magazines were ordered. Projects were charged $.95/magazine. WWA made $989.55.  No plans for another order at this time.

WIC Stories  No stories received yet. Remind Directors at WWA Region Reps  Feb. 14th is the deadline. Regional Meetings. Washington DC  Jenni, Amber, Cheryl Davies will attend as Board Members. Inform all applicants that Jenni Leadership Conference  Four applications were received for the 3 scholarships: Mary they have been approved Blazer, Kristi Cooley, Angela Roltgen, and Katrina Wojciechowski. to attend. Encourage them  Agreed that the more members at the conference, the better to consider joining the opportunity to visit the entire delegation. Advocacy Committee.  Will wait until after the conference to award scholarships.  Will have a planning meeting for those attending the conference. Send information to Cheryl L. attendees about setting up Barb motioned and Jenni seconded to send all the interested applicants appointments with to the Leadership Conference. Motion approved. delegation.

1/28/14 Addition: Mary Blazer declined the scholarship due to her Health Department not being able to cover the cost of the trip even with the $750 scholarship and because the timeline for approval was too tight.

WIC Bi-Annual Nutrition  Silent Auction- no updates Ask Jennifer Johnson how Barb Conference  WWA sponsored breakfast. Board decided to offer a plated many people to plan for. June 24 & 25 2014 breakfast with a frittata and muffin for $8/person. New Business Winter Newsletter Angela will write the newsletter with Katrina’s help.
