The Mountaineers fi nished 7-6, their 11th straight winning season, made their 11th straight bowl appearance, a school record, set numerous off ensive records, had several players earn postseason honors and established a solid foundation in its new conference home. 2013 Season In Review ............................................................................................................45 Three words that come to mind when summing up the 2013 West Virginia football season were inexperience, inconsistency and injuries, and the Mountaineers had plenty of each, resulting in a 4-8 record and tying for seventh place in the second year of Big 12 competition. 2014 Season In Review ............................................................................................................53 West Virginia played the toughest schedule in school history during the 2014 season, facing fi ve teams ranked in the Top 12 nationally. However, facing such a tough schedule still didn’t hinder WVU from showing improvement, as it fi nished with a 7-6 record, had a 5-4 mark in its third year in the Big 12 Conference, its highest conference fi nish and made an appearance in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
