There will be boxes placed in the porch for you to donate any ‘bottles’ for the stall - unopened and in date please! Helpers are needed to run the stall; people only need to offer an hour of their time to help, please sign up on the sheet at the back of the Church. Your continuing generosity to this Parish Fund Raiser is always appreciated and it's a great way to be part of this community event. ______

Eucharist Ministers Rota 5 th November 2016 to 15 th January 2017

Please will you pick up your copy of the new rota from the back of the church. Unfortunately, Richard Hayman has had IT problems and has lost nearly all of the contacts from his email system, so if you normally receive your copy via email you will need to take your copy from the back of the church. Would you please email Richard on [email protected] so that he can re setup his database. For those who normally receive a printed copy can you please also consider sending Richard your email address so that your future copies can be emailed to you. If you provide an email address I can assure you it will not be disclosed to other Eucharist Ministers. It makes distribution much easier. ______

GO-CART

Go-Cart to give away for a small donation to the Parish Centre fund. Hand crafted, quite large & manual operation. Please phone Patrick Kimber 01920 220642. ______

THANKING GSK

GSK have a scheme where they donate £500 when an employee of theirs gives 8 hours of work to a chosen charity. One of our parishioners made this application after completing her 8 hours volunteering – by designing posters for and helping on the day of the Parish BBQ. GSK paid £500 into the Parish Hall Fundraising account. This is excellent news for anyone else within the Parish who works at GSK and wants to help raise funds for the new Parish Hall. On the 18th November there is a meeting about fundraising. There are lots of jobs that can be done in the parish and once you have logged 8 hours you too can make the application to GSK. What a great company to have in Ware. They give so much back to the community. ______

HOW DO I BECOME A CATHOLIC?

If you would like to know more about the Catholic faith then you may be interested in joining the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). If any of the following applies to you will be very welcome:

1. Adults who wish to be baptised 2. Adults who are already baptised in another Christian denomination and who now wish to become members of the Roman Catholic Church 3. Adults who were baptised in the Catholic Church, and who might not yet have either been confirmed or made their First Holy Communion 4. Any adult who wishes to learn about the Catholic Faith 5. Any Catholic who wants to find out more or deepen their Catholic Faith

Each week we start by looking at the previous Sunday’s readings and then discuss related areas of Catholic teaching and their relevance to living the Christian life.

If you would like to come along or are interested in knowing more please speak to Fr. John or Mary Hallett. ______

SMALL FAITH SHARING GROUP - EXPERIENCE “LIVING JESUS” THIS AUTUMN

Living Jesus is comprised of six sessions, each of which includes prayers, Scripture, a reflection and questions plus a work of art, included as a key feature of each session. Each session stands alone, so there is no problem in missing sessions. Living Jesus will look at the themes of holiness, discipleship and vocation and will, as in previous booklets, contain art, prayers, scripture and reflections.
