Member of a team working on a large scale Peoplesoft 8 implementation. Responsible for Database administration of production, test and development Oracle databases, primarily 8.1.6. Supported UDB databases from a SysAdmin standpoint. Performed Storage Area Network (SAN) disk configuration on both Hitachi and EMC SAN arrays, including Business Continuance Volumes (BCV’s). Performed all standard DBA duties including database creation, imports / exports, automated backups, developer support, database tuning etc. Wrote scripts for automated database loads using schema rotation to provide maximum availability for web based applications. RDBMS versions have varied from 7.3.3.6 to 8.1.5.1. Implemented backup / recovery strategy for all databases on this project. Planned and led all upgrades and migrations for these databases. Wrote monitoring tools which send pages when negative events occur (Instance unavailable, tablespace nearing full, resource limit met etc.).
