Job Title: Implementation Manager

Main Purpose of Job: Create and maintain the specific and effective application and management of the sortation (Mail/Packets/Parcels) technologies and processes, and individuals supporting these processes, in conjunction with management colleagues within designated depots

Main Responsibilities:

• Implementation of sortation equipment solutions into the designated Whistl depot, in accordance with the relevant Operating Manual and Operations practices. Work actively with the Depot Operations Management to ensure that changes to the operation are implemented effectively

• Support the flow of product volume through the equipment, including the resources assigned to their operation, under the direction of the depot management, and in accordance with the relevant Operating Manual and Operations practices

• Improvement of service quality by identifying and agreeing operational process/productivity improvements with depot management

• Implementation of new products, functionality and enhancements in line with business, Down Stream Access, International, Broker and Packet/Parcel requirements

• Support line manager in ensuring suppliers comply with contractual requirements

• Establishing a full knowledge of output files to support the business with data queries

• Support National Systems Engineer with testing machine installs, write and test change requests following department processes set out by the National Systems Engineer

• Support the National Development Support Manager with operational training / technical training

Key skills (Technical):

Essential:  PC literate, knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word Excel, Powerpoint, Access)  Good standard of English and Maths Desirable:  Experience in aspects of sort operation  Understanding of sort automation

Essential:  Experience of working in an operational environment  Experience of being part of cross functional project teams  Experience of implementing a wide range of projects Desirable:  Experience of working within the postal/mail industry  Experience of working with postal sort technology

Qualifications (General qualifications & Professional ): E = Essential, D = Desirable

Essential:  GCSE/ ‘O’ Level or equivalent to include English Language and Mathematics Desirable:  Educated to ‘A’ Level/BTEC or equivalent

 HND/Degree level of education

Miscellaneous (e.g. shift work, requirement to drive, travel etc): E = Essential, D = Desirable

Essential:  Extensive UK travel required  May involve long periods living away from home  Current UK driving license
