DISPLAYS

PART 1 - GENERAL

** THIS SECTION INCLUDES SPECIFICATIONS FOR INTERIOR DISPLAYS CONSTRUCTED AS FABRIC COVERED BULLETIN TYPE BOARDS OR MULTIPLE COLUMN MAKER BOARDS AND CLOCK BOARDS. TYPES INCLUDED ARE WALL MOUNTED STYLES. SELECT APPROPRIATE TYPE OR TYPES BELOW. CONSULT MANUFACTURER'S CATALOG FOR OPTIONS.

1.01 SUMMARY

A. Section includes:

1. Interior non-illuminated ** surface wall mounted ** fabric covered bulletin board ** dry erase board ** clock board ** complete with components by single manufacturer at locations indicated in Schedule. 2. Component options specified below.

1.02 REFERENCES

A. Standards of the following as referenced: 1. Aluminum Association (AA). 2. American National Standards Institute (ANSI). 3. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

1.03 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

A. MyDay is a modular system for displaying multiple types of information. Bulletin boards and combination Display, Dry Erase, Clock, Hook, Magazine Holder and Pin Board elements provided under this section are intended to include interchangeable flexible designed units utilizing replaceable panels in horizontal or vertical configurations from single manufacturer using minimum of standard components housed in aluminum.

1.04 SUBMITTALS

A. Product data: 1. Manufacturer's signed statement regarding compliance with QUALITY ASSURANCE Article. 2. Manufacturer's product literature indicating units and designs selected.

B. Installation Instructions: 1. Indicate applicable substrate mounting provided in other sections. Include requirements for anchors not furnished in this section.

1.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE

A. Manufacturer qualifications: Work required under this section from manufacturers regularly engaged in work of this magnitude and scope for minimum of five years.

B. Pre-installation conferences: Coordinate with work required in other sections for completely coordinated and smooth installation.

A. Indicated in Delivery, Storage, and Handling Section.

B. Acceptance at site: Coordinate delivery of work to Project site under this section for immediate installation.

C. Handling materials and equipment: Handle displays in careful manner in order not to damage or mar surfaces of displays or adjacent finish surfaces.

1.07 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING

A. Coordinate: 1. Installation with adjacent finish materials not destroying adjacent surfaces. 2. With other sections for cast-in or built-in anchors and mounting hardware in work accomplished in other sections.

8. Furnish each unit with manufacturer’s standard tool (SCT) for removal of tamper resistant panels and complete installation guide. Include Pins, Markers, Cleaner, Eraser, etc. as specified by architect using manufacturer’s codes and descriptions.

2.03 FABRICATION

A. Shop assembly: 1. Fabricate units to configurations indicated on reviewed shop drawings. 2. Furnish copy required on reviewed shop drawings.

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.01 EXAMINATION

A. Verification of conditions: ** Indicated in Coordination Section. ** OR ** 1. Examine areas to receive displays; verify for correct location of cast-in anchors installed under other sections. 2. Notify Architect in writing of unacceptable substrate or improper location of anchors. 3. Beginning work indicates acceptance of substrate. Subsequent modifications to substrate or display becomes this section's complete responsibility.

3.02 INSTALLATION

3.03 CLEANING

A. Clean exposed surfaces not more than 48 hours prior to Date of Substantial Completion in accord with manufacturer's instructions.
