COURSE DESCRIPTION

Pre-IB Biology is a class that not only prepares the students well for their EOC Biology state exam, but also prepares the student for the rigorous IB courses to come. Students explore all elements of biology including cell composition, human body systems, ecological relationships, taxonomy and binomial nomenclature. Student work will include many activities and labs, with extra technology use in the classroom, due to the One-to-One Initiative in SISD. Incoming freshmen receive a laptop for use in class.

EXPECTATIONS AND GOALS

Students need to come to class prepared and with all their materials. Work assigned is expected to be turned in on time, and expected to be complete. Students should be respectful of their classmates and their teachers, and should have a positive attitude toward learning.
