<p>PRE-IB BIOLOGY SYLLABUS 2017-2018 | EL DORADO HIGH SCHOOL| INTERNATIONAL BACCALUAREATE PROGRAM </p><p>INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION</p><p>Instructor Email, Extension, Conference Tutoring Hours </p><p>Mrs. Amber Berestein [email protected] Any day after school by appointment 915-937-3200 ext. 7-3492 Monday and Wednesday mornings at 6th period 1:35-2:20 8:00 a.m. GENERAL INFORMATION</p><p>COURSE DESCRIPTION</p><p>Pre-IB Biology is a class that not only prepares the students well for their EOC Biology state exam, but also prepares the student for the rigorous IB courses to come. Students explore all elements of biology including cell composition, human body systems, ecological relationships, taxonomy and binomial nomenclature. Student work will include many activities and labs, with extra technology use in the classroom, due to the One-to-One Initiative in SISD. Incoming freshmen receive a laptop for use in class.</p><p>EXPECTATIONS AND GOALS</p><p>Students need to come to class prepared and with all their materials. Work assigned is expected to be turned in on time, and expected to be complete.
