9th October 2017 Dear Parents and Carers, Tooth Brushing Workshop

We are setting up a Tooth Brushing Workshop for pupils in Foundation, in order to teach them the correct tooth brushing technique. The aim is to maintain good oral health by carrying out regular tooth brushing. Doing so will prevent many dental diseases from occurring, such as decay. The workshop will take place either during the school day during lunchtime, or after school with possible parental involvement. The session will last for approximately 20-30 minutes. It would therefore be helpful for us to know whether you would be interested in attending if the workshop was held after school.

In this workshop, the children will be provided with all the necessary equipment free of charge, such as tooth brushes and fluoride toothpaste. The workshop will be supervised by our Foundation teaching assistants, Mrs Wallace, Miss Dalton, Mrs Rehman and Mrs Watson, who have had the appropriate training.

If you would like your child to take part in the Tooth Brushing Workshop, then please complete this consent form and return it to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

We will notify you at a later date when the workshop will taking place.
