Descriptions of Regular Excursions ( SIC ) :

City Tour (3 h) Passing by the Parliament we cross the Danube through the Margaret-Bridge (Margaret- Island) and drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side, where we visit the Fishermen’s Bastion (Promenade) and the Matthias Church after we climb to the Gellért Hill (Photostop), we cross Elisabeth-Bridge and drive towards Heroes’ Square (Promenade). Passing by the Opera and St. Stephen’s Basilica we reach Hotel InterContinental.

Parliament Tour (1,5 h)

Take the opportunity for a visit of the impressive House of Parliament – after a walk around Hungary’s largest building, interior visit of the magnificent neo-gothic Parliament (Home of the Holy Hungarian Crown) with guidance through the splendid session room, the impressive staircase and the wonderful Great Vaulted Hall.

Parliament & City Tour (4,5 h)

View all the celebrated sights and monuments of Budapest, feel history at your fingertips with a guided tour of the Parliament buildings. After an interior visit of the impressive Neo-Gothic Houses of Parliament (guided tour included), the tour bus crosses the Margaret Bridge a heads towards the historic Buda side of the city. After a visit to the Royal Castle, the Fishermen’s Bastion and the Matthias Church, there is a photo opportunity at the Citadel with spectacular views over the city.

After crossing the Elizabeth Bridge to the Pest side, there is a stroll round Heroes’ Square, the bus passes the Opera House and St. Stephen’s Basilica Citadel with spectacular views over the city.

HopOnHopOff Sightseeing Cruise on the Danube (1h)

Get acquainted with the highlights of our capital city from the magnificent Danube. Passing by the imposing building of the Parliament you can admire the panorama of the Margaret Island, the Castle District, the Liberation Monument and the Citadel. Continuing the tour you can see the bridges of Budapest, the National Theatre, the Palace of Arts, the universities, the Central Market Hall .

Szentendre & Visegrád Tour (4,5 h)

On the way to this picturesque town,Szentendre which is also known as the Artists’ Village you’ll be able to see the breath taking Danube Bend from the top of the Visegrád Hill ( photostop). At the end of your journey enjoy a boat cruise back to Budapest. Live guiding through whole tour . The tour ends at the pier in Budapest city center.

Return by boat between 01 May- 30 Sept. In case of low water and during winter time return to Budapest by bus.

Royal Tour (4h)

Gödöllő Palace- Summer Residence . The excursion includes the visit of the largest baroque palace of Hungary, where the admired Queen Elisabeth (Sissi) spent 2000 nights - more than in Schönbrunn. The renovated rooms regained their past splendour and provide detailed introduction to the interior of royal suites.

Puszta Tour (8 h)

Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta - we drive to Kecskemét (guided walk) and further on to Lajosmizse, where you are welcomed with a traditional Welcome Drink after the great perfromance of the famous horsemen and a carriage ride through the Puszta – a typical hungarian meal (3-course Menu with wine) is served in the „csárda” restaurant in the accompaniment of gipsy music.

Folklore Evening Tour (4h)

Spend an enjoyable evening in a traditional restaurant. After an aperitif we serve you a 3-course menu with wine accompanied by a colourful Folklore Show Programme . Returning to Budapest you have a marvellous view on the illuminated city from the Citadel - the tour ends at your Hotel .

Danube Bend Tour ( 9,5 h)

...an excursion into Hungary’s history – we take you to Esztergom (Center of the Catholic Church) . During the tour we’ll show You Esztergom literally from another point of view ( photostop) in Slovakia ).We then continue to the antique town of Visegrád

(former Royal Residence ) . After Lunch

(3-course menu) we carry on to the Baroque Artists’ Village Szentendre . Return to Budapest on the Danube by boat – the tour ends at the Pier/City Centre Budapest. Return by boat between 01 May-30 Sept. In case of low water and during winter time return to Budapest by bus.

Lake Balaton Tour ( 9,5 h)

Combine pleasure, culture and nature in just one trip! You get to see the largest fresh-water lake of

Central Europe, Lake Balaton. Our first stop is Balatonfüred which is a lovely small town on the north shore of Lake Balaton. We invite you for a short city sightseeing witha „nostalgia train”.

Before a one-hour cruise on the Lake Balaton, you will have time to walk along the picturesque promenade and have something to eat. (lunch not included)

Next, we drive to Tihany Peninsula, which has been declared the World Heritage site by UNESCO. This area is rich in special natura l and architectural values. Here you can enjoy the unique view of Balaton (photo stop). Then you will have the opportunity to visit the Abbey of Tihany, founded 1055 by the Hungarian King, Andras. Finally we return to Budapest, the tour ends at your hotel.

Budapest Walking Tour

Our walking tour begins with a short ride on the Millennium metro out to the Heroes' Sq and City Park. There we learn about Hungarian history and culture through the line of kings displayed in chronicle order. After we walk through the park to visit the Vajdahunyad Castle (outside) complex built for the world EXPO in 1896 displaying typical Hungarian architecture used. Next a stop off at Szechenyi bath house (peek inside when open) to learn about the amazing bath culture this country has to offer. Next we take the Millennium metro back towards the city center and stop off at the Opera house (outside) and Andrassy Blvd. teaching you about the significance the Opera and street brought to culture and nobility.

Grand Market Hall Tour

Visit the Great Market Hall (aka Central Market Hall) at the Pest end of Liberty Bridge to combine shopping with sightseeing. A great place to stroll even in cold and rainy weather. The three-storey hall offers you plenty to do and see at least for 1-2 hours.

Along the way we will talk about seasonal produce and eating habits; local traditions and specialties; recipes and the Hungarian eating style; and the culture of food in Hungary.

You'll only become aware of the hall's spacious interior under the gracious roof structure when you enter. The rich aroma together with the vivid colours of the fresh products displayed in the stalls will dazzle you. Strings of red paprika and garlic, Hungarian salamis, sausages, hams and other meat products, fresh pastries, dairy products, Hungarian wines and pálinka, just to give you ideas for buying souvenirs.
