Cary, N.C. – Ply Gem Windows introduces the 1500 Vinyl Collection, a product line for the eastern U.S. new construction market. To simplify product selection for builder customers, the development of this new line – with single hung, sliding, picture and architectural shape styles – includes a consolidation of Ply Gem Windows’ multiple vinyl window options into one platform, with a common sash and common sizing.

In response to customer demand, the Ply Gem Windows 1500 Vinyl Collection is manufactured with new, key features for easier installation, more customization options and better performance. Installation benefits include jamb alignment clips to help center the unit in the opening, an easy-to-remove meeting rail with a clip and anchor, ideal for drywall installations; an integral J-channel and optional double utility trim for simple siding installation; plus integral mulls, accessory groove for extensions and receivers, and a protective construction film.

Beyond installation, this new collection from Ply Gem Windows also makes it easier for builders to customize windows to fit specific design needs. Builders start by selecting from three frame options – brickmould, beveled and flat. From there, they can choose from three colors – white, beige and clay – and multiple grille, simulated divided lite (SDL) and shape options to get the desired look.

Builders can also configure the windows’ energy efficiency levels based on market needs, customer preferences and climate zone. Thirteen glass packages, including eight upgraded dual pane options and four triple pane options are available, providing performance to meet current ENERGY STAR and new ENERGY STAR Version 6 requirements and can be upgraded to R-5 performance for maximum energy efficiency.
