NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Town of North Salem, NY is accepting sealed bids for the Sunset Ridge Water District - Water Treatment System Modification. Sealed bids shall be received by the Town Board of North Salem, NY, at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 266 Titicus Road, North Salem, NY 10560, until May 23rd , 2017 at 2:00 P.M. and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in said office. All prospective bidders are strongly recommended to attend the pre-bid meeting at the Town Hall Building on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at 2:00 pm.

The project involves modification to an existing water treatment system including but not limited to the following:  A one (1) story building addition having approximate dimensions of 10 ft. by 13 ft.  Installation of an in-line uranium ion-exchange water treatment system  A new 500 gallon in-door raw water receiving tank and duplex transfer pumps

Contract Documents may be downloaded from the Town of North Salem website, http://www.northsalemny.org, on or after April 12th, 2017.

Bids shall be made on the separate Bid Proposal Forms furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Town or a certified cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Town of North Salem, New York, and are to be held by the Town as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Town of North Salem as liquidated damages.

Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Town of North Salem, Town Hall, 266 Titicus Road, North Salem, New York 10560 and endorsed “Sunset Ridge Water District – Water Treatment System Modification”, Town of North Salem, New York.

The final day for bidders to submit requests for information (RFI’s) will be May 5, 2017. Final Addendum will be issued by May 9, 2017. All addenda will be available for download from the Town of North Salem website.

The Town of North Salem reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Town to do so.
