Good day Captain,

We have been appointed to provide you Port Agency Service for your forthcoming Suez Canal transit. Please send your ETA notices 5/3/1 day prior to arrival by Fax OR email to ISS as follows: Fax No +202 22683850 / Email: [email protected] We will relay ETA messages to SCA & all parties concerned on your behalf

Please include following details in your first message: Name, Ex names, Type, Nationality, call sign, SCID Nbr, dwt/grt/nrt/sgrt/snrt, arr drafts, cargo details, last/next ports, if Suez canal cert on board, Capacity of ship’s cranes & availability of life boats open type/equipped with motor and fiber made, nbr of crew, if canal projector required or vsl has its own. Kindly include any deck cargo on board and for container vessel’s number of tiers on deck. If vessel has residues on board /quantities. All ports called by vessel within the last 30 days prior to arrival to Suez Canal.

Are there any ill crew or passengers onboard ?

There is one NB convoy that departs from Port Suez daily at 0600 hrs. For vsl's with less than 38 ft (less tankers) draft, limit of arrival is 0300 hrs LT and this is the time of actual crossing North of latitude 29.48.33 North. For vsls with draft of more than 38 ft and the laden tankers of petroleum products or ballast non gas free, time limit is 0100 hrs and time is taken while crossing North of latitude 29.42.8 North.

5 miles prior to arrival at Suez separation Buoy No 1, pls call up Suez canal Harbor office on VHF Ch 14/16, and pilots Ch 14/16 and seek waiting area instrs. Inchcape maintains watch on Ch 14 / 16 and will contact you once you come up on air.

Our boarding rep will board you in the inner roads and will do the necessary documentation for your clearance. Kindly keep the following documents ready: Ships registry in original Special tonnage Certificate 2 Copies of cargo manifest 6 copies of crew list (Items 3&4 to be stamped by ships stamp and signed by master)

Instructions for Vessels transiting the Suez Canal for the FIRST time:

Kindly note vessels transiting the Suez Canal for first time must have the following documents on board:

- General arrangements plan - Capacity Plan - Engine Room Plan - Suez Canal Special tonnage certificate

Should any of the above not be on board, same to be sent to our Cairo office prior to vessel transit. No need to send the same by fax We do recommend that vessel will have the above drawings copies (typical to originals and not A4 copies) to avoid collection of original drawings as same will be collected by the SCA inspector for studies and will be returned within 3-4 weeks

Instructions for Tankers transiting canal for FIRST time OR have not obtained SBT reductions previously:

Please ensure that below plans to be ready on board for further delivery to S.C. Inspectors (Against a receipt) in order to allow Messrs, SCA to study ship's SBT rebate:

- Capacity Plan - Piping Plan - I.O.P.P Certificate. - Med ship Section Plan. - Statement from the ship's Master stating that cargo tanks are segregated from SB.Tanks

Kindly note that we do not provide husbandry services for charters appointed vessels unless we get an approval from them. Therefore, we will be pleased to process your requests, if any, but please do give us at least a days notice for such requirements.

Please keep the ships stamp in your safe custody, as this is likely to be misused by vendors masquerading as officials. In case you feel harassed by any official, please feel free to contact our boarding rep or the Sucan harbor office or Port Police and notify them. In your first arrival message, please clearly state that you do not want any vendors/bamboat men to board your vessel. This will help us in stopping such vendors boarding your vessel and creating nuisance for you.
