Camp 2011 Information Sheet 1 LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN YOUTH MINISTRY, INC. “One Another” Monday, June 13th – Thursday, June 16th

Meeting Place: Gold Coast Christian Camp, 7495 Park Lane Road, Lake Worth, Florida 33467 (West of 441 between Boynton & Lantana Roads. Turn west on Heritage Farms Road off of 441 and then South on Park Lane Road, a gravel road, camp is on the right). See map on our website: www.lighthousechristianyouth.org

Arrival Time: 11:00 AM Monday, June 13th

Departure Time: 11:30 AM Thursday, June 16th

Accommodations: Air conditioned cabins (most sleep 8) One or two counselors will be in each cabin depending on number of campers. This is on a first come, first serve basis. For any parents that are bringing campers from out of town and who want to stay for the duration of the camp, we recommend that you make reservations at the nearby Holiday Inn Turnpike West Palm Beach at Lake Worth Road (561-968-5000). Call in advance and reserve a room as soon as you get this. Tell them you are with Lighthouse Christian Youth Camp for a special rate. During camp 3 meals will be provided for guests who are not staying overnight on the grounds. I need 2 weeks prior notice if you want to have meals with us. There is a fee for “day-only” campers that includes applicable meals.

Cost: * $140 per camper for overnight stays. This cost includes food, lodging, and activities for the week. Make checks payable to: Lighthouse Christian Youth Ministry, Inc. Or *$50 per camper for “day-only” participation (those who want to do the daytime activities and day and evening Bible classes without sleeping at the camp.

*We want all children to be able to attend this camp so for those who cannot afford camp, we will waive the fees. Instead if you like you can make a donation in any amount. This is a grace ministry and God provides for those who cannot afford it.

What to bring to camp: BRING YOUR OWN BIBLE (we have some extra copies at class if you don’t have a Bible), notebooks, pens or pencils to take notes. Twin bed sheets AND/OR sleeping bag, and pillow (THE CAMP DOESN’T PROVIDE LINENS). Towels for showering, soap, shampoo and all personal toiletries etc. Summer clothing: jackets or sweatshirts (in case it is cold in the meeting rooms), bathing suits, sunglasses, beach towels, SUNSCREEN, hat, and personal items.

Bible Study times: Bible study in a camp’s meeting rooms twice a day, plus prayer and singing with pastors/evangelists/teachers. Camp evangelists will lead our camp every morning at (9:00 AM) and every evening at (7:00 PM).

Activities: Pool with lifeguard; archery; lake with paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks; rock climbing, and rope courses are available as well as musical entertainment; craft room, and a recreation room. There is a basketball court, volleyball court and plenty of open spaces to play. There is a Christian music dance party on Wednesday night.

Food: The camp provides food and drink for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as some snacks, water and Gatorade during the day. However, if they would like to purchase any extra gifts/snacks that are for sale at the camp gift/snack shop or vending machine, they will have to bring their own spending money for those purchases. The gift shop is in the recreation room and will be open late afternoons each day.

Minimum Age: Seven (7) years of age or older to stay overnight without a parent. All campers 6 years or younger attending during the day must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during all activities.
