Annual Chapter Awards – Change in Submission Deadline: September 30th Please note ONS has moved the Chapter Awards submission deadline, from March 31st to September 30th. The date change was made in order to ensure all ONS awards are using the same deadline each year. To access the Chapter Awards page and award applications, click-here.

Nominate a Colleague for an ONS Award – Act Now, Deadline is September 30th! Did you know ONS offers 26 different awards, all designed to recognize well-deserving oncology nurse colleagues? Click here to learn more about how you can nominate a nurse leader. The nomination deadline is September 30th at 5pm ET.

NIWI Applications Now Being Accepted – Deadline to apply: Nov. 2! The Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) Program is an annual event sponsored by the Nursing Organizations Alliance (the Alliance; ONS is a participating organization). The NIWI Program provides nurses the opportunity to learn how to influence health care through legislative and regulatory processes. Participants learn from health policy experts and governmental officials and network with other nurses. Click here to learn more about the NIWI Program and remember to apply by Nov. 2!

ONS Foundation Grants and Scholarships Available for Chapters Recognize the emerging oncology nursing chapter leader in your chapter today! Emerging Chapter Leader Scholarship recipients will receive an educational scholarship for up to $1,200 to attend the 2016 ONS Congress in San Antonio, Texas. Also, up to $1,000 is available to qualified ONS chapters across the U.S. to plan and implement patient focused Breast Cancer Community Education awareness programs.
