QATAR HANDBALL TOUR 2015 : PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL BACK IN QATAR
FOR ITS PREPARATION
From July 27th to August 3rd, the reigning French champions will be in Qatar for the Qatar Handball Tour as part of their summer preparation. For the third consecutive year, the Parisian players and staff will set up camp at the Aspire Zone—the state-of-the-art sports complex in Doha—and will be hosted by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) for a mix of physical preparation and tourism.
Parisians back for an intense pre-season program Each year, in the framework of its association with Paris Saint-Germain, Qatar Tourism Authority welcomes the club's teams to Doha for their training camps. After the visit by Paris Saint-Germain women’s football team in April 2015 in preparation for their key end-of-season encounters, now it's the men's handball team turn to return to Qatar - the club's official destination.
This training camp will be a great opportunity to see the Paris Saint-Germain Handball new recruits such as Karabatic’s brothers, Henrik Mollgaard and Sergiy Onufriyenko in action, led by the new coach Zvonimir Serdarušić. Like each year, the players will benefit from world-class training and treatment facilities during their stay at the Aspire Zone—Qatar's flagship sports venue—offering ideal conditions to prepare the coming season.
Six months after the World Handball Championship, which was held in Qatar, Paris Saint-Germain Handball's international stars will return to the country.
Immersed in the Qatar of tomorrow
In addition to intense training sessions, Qatar Tourism Authority will be offering Paris Saint-Germain a rich program of discoveries that mirrors the country itself: a mix of tradition and modernity. The players will visit the world's most modern equestrian center at Al Shaqab, and taste culinary specialties at Qatar Summer Festival. Art lovers will have an opportunity to admire Mathaf Museum of Modern Art splendid collections while learning how to create digital calligraphy. Finally, Qatar Science and Technology Park will give a few Paris Saint-Germain Handball players a chance to meet young Qatari musicians and entrepreneurs - the lifeblood of the Qatar of tomorrow. Much more than just a training camp, the Qatar Handball Tour will thus be an opportunity for the players to enjoy the modern splendor of a world-class tourist destination.
At the same time, four Paris Saint-Germain Handball supporters will be flying out to Doha in order to follow the Qatar Handball Tour. These lucky winners of a social network competition organized by Qatar Tourism Authority in July 2015 are getting ready for a unique experience: meet their favorite players in Qatar.
