Individual Assignment: Communication Process Worksheet

Purpose of Assignment

Week 1 introduces the communication process and describes how social media is changing the nature of business communication, which will be the foundation for the remaining concepts in the course. Students will discuss what it means to communicate as a professional in a business setting, examine the guidelines for making ethical communication choices, communicate across cultural boundaries and integrate communication technology more effectively.

The student will discuss how mobile technology is changing the practice of business communication. The student will define ethical communication.

The student will explain how the widespread use of social media has increased the attention given to the issue of transparency. The paper includes detailed response for the “Additional Insight” questions. See Communication Process Worksheet key for samples responses. The worksheet will consist of 700 words.
