To the Construction Vendor Community:

Montgomery County Purchasing is soliciting bids for construction of burn building. A full set of the bid documents including the site plan drawings can be viewed at our office at 755 Roanoke Street, Suite 2C, Christiansburg, VA. You may obtain your own copy from Wiley/Wilson, 127 Nationwide Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502-4272 or by telephone (434)947-1901

A Bidder’s Qualification Statement and a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bond, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the value of the contract.

BIDDERS are required under Section 2.2-4332 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, to obtain and maintain workers compensation insurance. Evidence of coverage must be provided prior to award of contract.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on March 8, 2016. Interested parties are requested to meet the Architect and Owner’s representatives at 10:00 AM at the site, 1636 Merrimac Road (Route 657) in Blacksburg, VA.

Bids are due March 22, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. They will be publicly read aloud in the County Purchasing Conference room. You will need to turn your bid in prior to 3:00 p.m.in the purchasing office.
